Microsoft demo for their Hololens tech explores the concept of Augmented Reality Design and how it could be implemented in software such as Maya:
At Worldwide Partner’s Conference (WPC), Microsoft demonstrated how the HoloLens would integrate with Autodesk’s Maya 3D animation software. Maya is a popular graphic art and design program.
You will be able to work on a project in Maya on your desktop
computer with a traditional mouse and keyboard while projecting a
realistic 3D rendering of the model, as Microsoft demonstrated. This
could make it easier for coworkers to see what you’re working on without
having to peek over your shoulder. The changes you make also show up on
the 3D model as you’re working.
You can also project 3D models onto a real-world objects to see how
your project will look in real life. In the example below, a model of a
motorcycle is being projected over an actual motorcycle so that you can
change its color.
“Yes, of course duct tape works in a near-vacuum. Duct tape works anywhere. Duct tape is magic and should be worshiped.” Mark Watney in the book “The Martian”
‘We’ve always defined ourselves by the ability to overcome the impossible. And we count these moments. These moments when we dare to aim higher, to break barriers, to reach for the stars, to make the unknown known. We count these moments as our proudest achievements.’ - Cooper, Interstellar

Inspired by Interstellar, this minimalist poster series counts down some of mankind’s greatest space missions from landing on Mars to walking on the Moon. Each poster focuses on capturing a pioneering space mission by simplifying a key element or defining part of the expedition. This project endeavours to inspire a sense of wonder and enthusiasm toward space exploration and discovery.
D-Bro, a Japanese design brand, has created a unique set of mirrored cups called “Waltz” that gain their striking patterns and colors by reflecting them from the saucers they come with.
First, the cups, which are made from Hasami porcelain, are coated with palladium, a precious metal rarer than platinum and gold. The cups must be absolutely perfect, because any small distortion or bump will ruin the effect. Next, they are matched with saucers that have anamorphic designs (much like the artwork in our anamorphic mirror art post). These designs look distorted on the saucers but are transformed into more ordered forms by the mirrored cups.

Header Image
If your avatar is a picture of your face, your header image is what you see when you close your eyes. It should say, “yeah, this is who I am.” Or at least what your blog’s about. If you don’t like the way the header image looks on your blog, you can play with the “sliding header” and “stretch header image” settings or turn it off altogether.
Avatar
Since your avatar is the most familiar part of your Tumblr appearance, we thought it’d be nice to include it on your blog. But if you don’t like it, that’s cool too. You can hide it from your blog settings and it’ll only be used on the Dashboard.
